You can configure and maintain Focal Point® by logging in to the product from the web interface. To complete this task, you must be an application or workspace administrator, as defined by the local usage policies.
Administrators can maintain Focal Point® by performing various tasks:
▪ back up and restore the database regularly. For more information, see the database documentation.
▪ increase the memory usage of the application server, if required
▪ monitoring the application
▪ set up the cluster configuration for Focal Point® in an application server to improve scalability, if required. For more information, see the application server documentation.
▪ modifying the database configuration parameters in the application server, if required. For more information, see the application server documentation.
