Business rule API for the development of custom business rules
Focal Point® Version 7.4 and later includes a business rule API for the development of custom business rules.
You can add custom functionality to your Focal Point® installation by using the business rule API to create your own business rules.

Newly-developed business rules can be deployed into an existing Focal Point® server by using the ‘Business Rule Administration’ page in Focal Point®.
About this task
Complete the following steps to download the business rule API.
Note Only the business rules that are included in the installation are supported.
1 Log in as administrator.
2 From the User menu, click Administration, and then click Advanced.
3 Click Business Rules.
4 Click Add Business rule.
5 Use the link provided on this page to download the API and the related Java docs. The page also provides the option to download an Eclipse project as a .zip file.
The Eclipse project contains examples of business rules that were created using the API, as well as the necessary jars and the build structure for creating new business rules.
