Updating criteria for gap analysis
The IT portfolio management workspace contains criteria to use in a gap analysis. You can update these criteria to meet your requirements.
1 Click Modules > Criteria.
2 Click Application Criteria and select Gap Analysis.
Three User Need criteria and three User Satisfaction criteria are displayed.
3 Set up these criteria for users who have the secondary role of Application Gap Analyst.
Example
John Smith is added as a member to the workspace and is assigned the role of Business Stakeholder and the secondary role of Application Gap Analyst. To provide John with the criteria to complete a gap analysis, you must select him as the gap analyst for User Need and User Satisfaction criteria. Select the criteria, edit the Gap Analyst attribute, and select John Smith. You can use the remaining criteria in the Gap Analysis folder for other users who are Application Gap Analysts.
By default, only six criteria are created for gap analysis. You must create one pair of User Need and User Satisfaction criteria for each Application Gap Analyst:
1 Click the Add Criterion button.
2 For the title of the User Need criterion, enter:
="User Need: " + 'Gap Analyst'
3 For the title of the User Satisfaction criterion, enter:
="User Satisfaction: " + 'Gap Analyst'
4 In the Gap Analyst parameter, specify the name of the user.
