Deploying the Focal Point application
After you set up IBM WebSphere Application Server, you must deploy the Focal Point® application.
Before you begin
Complete the tasks in Setting up WebSphere Application Server.
Procedure
1 On the WebSphere Integrated Solutions Console, click Application > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
2 Click Install.
3 Under Path to new Application, click Local file system.
4 Under Full path, browse to the fp.war file. For example:
Focal Point installation directory\JazzTeamServer\server\webapps
5 Click Next.
6 Select Detailed - Show all installation options and parameters, and then click Next. In the “Application Security Warnings” page, click Continue.
7 On the “Select installation options” page, do one of the following:
If you are using Microsoft Windows 2008, clear Precompile JavaServer Pages files, and then click Next.
For any other operating system, select Precompile JavaServer Pages files, and then click Next.
8 On the “Map modules to server” page, select fp.war. From the Clusters and servers list, select the required cluster and click Apply.
Even if you have only one server listed, select the entry and apply.
After you apply the mapping, the fp.war checkbox is cleared.
9 If you selected Precompile JavaServer Pages files in step 6, the “Provide options to compile JSPs” page appears. Select the fp.war row and specify the JDK Source Level as 16.
Ignore this setting if the page is not displayed.
10 Open the “Map context roots for web modules” page. In the Context Root field, type:
/fp
11 Optional: Open the “Map security roles to users or groups” page, and then select the check box for to the role to which you want to map the users.
To enable the ping servlet security feature, map the required users to the ping role.
12 On the Summary page, click Finish. A message that indicates the success of installing application fp_war is shown after the installation.
13 Click Save directly to the master configuration.
14 Click Application > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
15 Click fp_war.
16 Modify the class loader order:
Click Manage Modules and select the fp.war module row and click fp.war.
From the Class loader order list, select Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last). Click Apply. Click Save directly to the master configuration.
In the Manage Modules page, click fp_war page at the top to navigate back to the fp_war page. Click Class loading and update detection.
Select Override class reloading settings for Web and EJB modules, and specify a time value in the Polling interval for updated files field. For example:s.
For the class loader order, select Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last).
Select Single class loader for application and click Apply. Click Save directly to the master configuration.
17 Click fp_war.
18 In the fp_war page, click Session Management:
Select Override session management.
Ensure that Enable Cookies is selected.
Click Enable Cookies.
Clear Set session cookies to HTTPOnly to help prevent cross-site scripting attacks.
Click OK, and then click OK again.
Click Save directly to the master configuration.
