After you upgrade to the latest version, migrate the baselines and reports that you generated in earlier versions. To use your custom business rules, obtain the new compiled version from UNICOM Systems, Inc. Support, and then import that version.

Before you begin

▪ Follow the instructions in Upgrading from earlier versions.

▪ Install or upgrade to the latest version of Focal Point^®.

Procedure

To reuse the data from earlier versions of Focal Point^® in the latest version:

1 Obtain the updated custom business rules from the UNICOM Systems, Inc. Support and use it.

2 Copy the updated rules in the< fpwar_deployed_in_server>/fp/WEB-INF/expressions/ folder. For example:

<TOMCAT_Home>/webapp/fp/WEB-INF/expressions/

<WAS_Installation_Dir>/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/Node01Cell/fp.war.ear/fp.war/WEB-INF/expressions/

3 Restart Focal Point^®.

If the updated custom business rule is not used, when you log on to Focal Point^®, a startup interrupted message is displayed.

4 Log on to Focal Point^®.

5 If the database schema needs an update, a message indicating the required upgrade is shown. Complete the database update and restart the application sever.

6 To import the report images to the database, access the Administration menu from the User menu. Click General, and then Report Images. Import the required report images.
