Managing products and portfolios : Prioritizing elements and criteria : Analyzing element consistency

Analyzing element consistency
Before you begin
Complete the first two steps in Comparing elements in a view.
To analyze the consistency of elements
1 In the toolbar, click Check Consistency.
The Check Consistency frame opens and displays the triple that contains the lowest consistency.
2 Use Previous Triple and Next Triple to navigate in the list of triples.
3 To change the comparisons, select one of these options:
If you want the Pairwise Comparisons frame to display only the three elements that are in the triple, click Compare These Three Elements. You might do this to locate the comparisons that must be updated.
To open the Pairwise Comparisons frame and change the value of the comparison, click one of the icons between the elements. The frame displays only the two elements.
To open the Pairwise Comparisons frame and display all of the completed comparisons for the current view and criterion, click Compare All Elements.
4 To continue analyzing the consistency, repeat steps 2 and 3.
The consistency frame displays a subset of the completed comparisons. To view all of the comparisons, click Compare All Elements. A total consistency lower than 70% indicates that there are some conflicting comparisons to locate and correct.
