Name and description

General
|
You can configure the following settings:
▪ Name: Name of the attribute.
▪ Description: Text describing the attribute.
▪ Administrator Notes: Tips or information for other administrators. For example, “This attribute must not be editable in any views”. The administrator notes are displayed in the attribute setup when you configure access levels in views and when you add global attributes to modules.
▪ Position Before: Determines where the attribute is placed.

Visual

You can configure the following settings:
▪ Display Images As: For the image attached to the attribute, a setting to specify whether a thumbnail image should be displayed when the file attribute is displayed in a view. The dimension of the thumbnail image can also be selected from the available options.
▪ Sort Files Based On: Specifies the file metadata to use when sorting the display of files in a file attribute.
▪ Sort In Descending Order: Specifies whether the files should be sorted in the descending order of the file metadata.

Size
|
You can configure the following setting:
▪ Maximum Size: Specifies the maximum, total size of the files that are attached to the file attribute. It can be 2,4,6,8,10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 MB.

List
|
You can configure the following setting:
▪ Allow Multiple Files: An option, when selected, to allow multiple files to be attached to the file attribute.

Mandatory
|
You can configure the following settings:
▪ Mandatory: Makes sure that users enter a value for this attribute. Mandatory attributes are displayed with an asterisk.
▪ Feedback Text: The text to display when the user does not specify a value for the mandatory attribute.

Confirm Dialog
|
You can configure the following settings:
▪ Display Dialog: Displays a confirmation window for every change to the attribute. The confirmation window is displayed only if text is specified in the Dialog Text field.
▪ Dialog Text: The text to be displayed in the confirmation window that is displayed when there is a change in the file attribute. For example, when you make changes to the list of the attached files, “Have you verified the list of attached files?” is displayed in a window.

Change Log

You can configure the following setting:
▪ Log Changes: Records all changes to the attribute.

Integration
|
You can configure the following settings:
▪ Property URI: A unique URI according to the Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) standard for the attribute.
▪ Alias: Alias to use when you integrate with other tools. The default alias is an auto-generated random Universally Unique Identifier (UUID). You can change the alias, but it must be unique.
