Member attributes
Edit the permissions, secondary roles, views, and skills and other attributes of members of a workspace by using the Settings icon on the menu bar and, from the Members group, clicking Manage. To edit an attribute, click the Edit link of that attribute. Some of the displayed attributes cannot be edited. To see which of these attributes you can edit, click the Edit link on the group header (for example, the General information row).
General information

Attribute
Description
Prefix
A prefix to the full name of the member
Full Name
The full name of the user. This attribute is the same as the Title attribute in other modules. Restriction: You cannot edit this attribute.
Information
Specific information about the member. This attribute is the same as the Description attribute. This attribute works the same way as the Description attribute does in the other modules.
Access
The member’s level of access to this workspace. A regular member has non-administrative access and can see only what is granted through views. A read-only member can only view the workspace. Read-only members cannot edit anything, but if they have access to an Add view, they can add elements. Workspace administrators can configure the workspace, modules, views, and attributes, and can add and manage members.
In the Users module:
If Read-Only is set to Yes, the user automatically has Read-Only access in the Members module. To change the Member Access, you must change the User Access first.
If Login Disabled is set to Yes, the user cannot access the workspace regardless of the member access.
Permissions
With workspace permissions, regular users can complete tasks that are typically reserved for administrators:
synchronize with elements of IBM Rational Change
add global filters
visualize the priorities of all the members in a Visualize view with private criteria
delete elements, if the elements can be deleted from the module
view the “About Focal Point®” page. By default, this permission is granted to all members.
add members. To view the members that the regular user added, the user must have access to a Display view of the members. In the Display view of the new member, the regular user might be able to edit certain attributes.
manage notifications and messages. With this permission, the Broadcast Message page in the Advanced group of the Settings menu is also displayed. From the Broadcast Message page, members can send urgent messages to all the members of the workspace.
work with the capacity plan feature to visualize and manage the allocation of resources into projects.
manage the shared filters that are created by other users.
Inherit From
Determines whether the member inherits My Views, My Home, and Permissions from another member or folder.
Secondary Roles
Creates secondary inheritance. You can use this attribute to have a user inherit from more than one role. If you cannot see this attribute and want to use it, you can add it by clicking Configure and selecting Attributes.
My Home
The setup of the workspace home page for the member.
My Views
A list of the views that the member can access.
Parent Folder
The folder under which a member is placed. For example, the folders might be set as different roles with different access. Because members inherit views from the parent folder, members who belong to a folder inherit the access that is specified for the folder.
Skills
The Skills attribute, which is used by the Plan feature.
