Friends (Outbound)
The Friends (Outbound) menu item is used to register the applications that provide OSLC services to be used from Focal Point®. The Friends (Outbound) menu item lists all of the OSLC applications that provide services for Focal Point® to use.Note:
To add an OSLC application as a friend in Focal Point®, the consumer secret and consumer key must be created in that application. After creating a new consumer key for Focal Point® in the OSLC application, take a note of the Root services URI, consumer key, and consumer secret.
To configure the integrations in Focal Point®, log in as a user with administrator rights and from the navigation bar, click Application > Friends(Outbound). You can add, modify, or delete a friend.

Description
Add Friend
Opens the Add Friend window.
Name
Specify a name for the connection. For example: RTC1@example.com or RRC1@example.com.
Root services URI
Specify the application root services URI.
To connect to the Change and Configuration Management application, version 2 (all releases), specify https://hostname:portnumber/jazz/rootservices
To connect to the Change and Configuration Management application, version 3 (all releases), specify https://hostname:portnumber/ccm/rootservices
To connect to the Requirements Management application, version 3 (all releases), specify https://hostname:portnumber/rm/rootservices
Authentication Type
List of possible authentication types. Select Oauth.
Consumer Key
Specify the consumer key created for Focal Point® in the OSLC application. The consumer key is formatted like this example:

Consumer Secret
Specify the consumer secret created for Focal Point® in the OSLC application.
OSLC
Select the checkbox to provide these details about the OSLC application: the namespace URI, the link namespace URI, and the domain name.
Providing these details is optional for IBM Rational Team Concert, Rational DOORS Next Generation, and IBM Rational Quality Manager.
OSLC Name Space URI
Specify the name space URI of the OSLC application that is listed with the root service. For example, this is the OSLC Name Space URI for Requirements Management application:
http://open-services.net/ns/rm/1.0/
OSLC Link Name Space URI
Specify the link name space URI listed with the respective OSLC specification. For example, this is the OSLC link name space URI for Requirements Management application:
http://open-services.net/ns/rm#
OSLC Domain Name
Specify the OSLC domain name.
Test Connection
Tests the connection. The results of the test are displayed in the Add OAuth Friend window.
The first time that you test the connection, you must log in to the CLM application.
Save
Saves the details.
To modify a friend listed in the Server Friends List window, click the name of the friend, and make the required changes.
Delete
Deletes a friend listed in the Server Friends List window.
