You can schedule updates from IBM Rational Directory Server by using the RDS Update interface. When an update runs, the Name, Email, and Information attributes are updated for users who authenticate by using Rational Directory Server. These attributes cannot be edited in any other way.
Before you begin
Because the update uses many resources, you must plan and schedule the update when as few users as possible are logged in to Focal Point.
To update a user, the user information must be at least 24 hours old.
About this task
The RDS Update button is displayed in the Manage Members page of each user who authenticates by using Rational Directory Server. When you click RDS Update, the user information in Focal Point is updated with the information stored in Rational Directory Server.
To schedule updates from Rational Directory Server for a user
1 From the User menu, click Administration. Click Users > Rational Directory Server Update.
2 Set these properties:

The time to run the update

The interval at which the update is run
3 Click Save. Click Save whenever you change the schedule.
