Roles in product management
The product management template has predefined roles, such as the product manager and stakeholder. A member of the product management workspace must belong to a certain role. To place a member in the folder of their main role, open the Members page of the Members menu. You can create and configure your own roles in addition to the predefined roles.

Description
Product Manager
The product manager gathers the business needs from stakeholders and decides which business need must be implemented in a particular release. Product managers plan the releases and manage the discussions with the stakeholders.
The home page for the product manager displays the status of the business needs for each release. The page also shows the progress of each release. Product managers can add stakeholders to the workspace. They can view the list of stakeholders and the number of business needs that each stakeholder has raised. The product manager role can be used by project manager, product marketing manager, product owner, and other members who share similar responsibilities.
Project Manager
The project manager supervises the progress of a release or version of the product and manages different aspects of the project.
Development Manager
The development manager manages the developer resources. These members can have the development manager role:
Chief developers
Team leaders
Scrum masters
Chief business analysts
Lead requirements analysts
Requirements managers
Chief requirements engineers
Developer
The developer implements the business needs, updates actual effort, and sets the status of the business needs that they implement. These members can have the developer role:
Business analysts
Requirements analysts
Requirements managers
Requirements engineers
Requirements developers
Analysts
Stakeholder
Stakeholders indicate business needs and track the progress through the development life cycle. A stakeholder is interested in the business needs of the project but cannot have role of the developer or developer manager. Support for internal and external stakeholders is provided. All stakeholders can add business needs. External stakeholders can see only the business needs that they raised. Internal stakeholders can see all the business needs.
Executive Stakeholder
Executive stakeholders are interested in the execution and completion of the project but have an executive role, such as a senior manager or executive.
Marketing
The marketing role creates win/loss reports and market plans and monitors the progress of releases. The marketing role can be used by market managers, product marketing managers, or others relevant roles who share similar responsibilities.
