Microsoft Project Integration
You can integrate Focal Point with Microsoft Project using the attributes in Projects and Business Needs modules.
Note This feature is not supported in Windows 7.
Before you begin
You must have Microsoft Project installed. You must also have the Microsoft Project add-on installed on the client computer to set up and use the integration. To download the Microsoft Project add-on, open a workspace and click Information > Downloads.
Procedure
1 Open Microsoft Project, and then click Set up Focal Point integration.
2 Enter web services URL. For example:
https://example.com/fp/services
3 Replace example.com with your Focal Point domain.
4 Enter your login name and password, and then click Login.
5 Select workspace as Product Portfolio Management.
6 Select Projects View as for example My Projects.
7 Select Project Element.
8 Map the properties in MS Project with attributes in Focal Point. For example:

9 Click Next.
10 Select View as for example Business Needs.
11 Map fields in MS Project with attributes in Focal Point. For example:

12 Click Finish.
13 Click Yes to synchronize the project file with Focal Point for the first time.
14 Update the project file with the plan, and then click Synchronize with Focal Point in Microsoft Project.
15 Click Display > My Projects. The project is updated with the information from the project file.
