Before you can link to artifacts in application project areas of the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), you must register Focal Point as an incoming consumer in the CLM application server.
Before you begin
You must have administrator credentials for Rational solution for CLM.
About this task
When you register Focal Point as a consumer in the CLM application server, you must enter a consumer secret to get a consumer key. The consumer key is a generated value used to identify Focal Point to the CLM application server. The consumer secret is a phrase used to establish the ownership of the consumer key. The consumer key and consumer secret can be described as the application equivalents of account name and password for users. Procedure
1 Do one of the following:
▪ For the Requirements Management application in the Rational solution for CLM, go to:
https://example.com:9443/jts/admin
Then click Jazz Team Server - Server Administration or click Manage Server for Rational solution for CLM V4.0.
▪ For the Change and Configuration Management application in the Rational solution for CLM, go to:
https://example.com:9443/ccm/admin
2 In the navigation bar, click Consumers (Inbound).
3 Register the consumer.
4 Make a note of the consumer secret. You need the secret to add the application server as a friend in Focal Point.
5 Copy the consumer key and store the key. You need the key to add the application server as a friend in Focal Point
