Adding view commands for bulk operations on artifacts in Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management applications
Use view commands to change many artifacts with a single click, instead of repeating the same operation for every element. If you are a workspace administrator, you can set up view commands to handle bulk operations for artifacts linked from Focal Point in Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) applications. With a view command, you can link and create artifacts, remove links to artifacts, restore links to artifacts or export a project and create corresponding work items. You must set up view commands in a view that contains linked elements, for example a project view or release view.
Before you begin
You must identify a suitable view to add the view commands to.
The view must display high-level plan objects, such as projects.
The view must contain a link list attribute with linked elements, such as business needs. The linked elements must contain a Integration Link attribute.
Restriction: The integration allows for link list attributes that link to a single module only. This attribute is selected in the list Linked elements.
The view must be accessible to all users that are going to handle links to artifacts in the CLM applications.
Procedure
1 Click the Settings icon Settings icon and then, from the Configure group, click OSLC view command.
2 Click Add view command.
3 Select the view to add commands to.
4 Edit the default alias to provide an alias of your choice.
5 On the “Add, edit or remove view commands” page, set these properties:

Publish project to the jazz server
immediately update data in Focal Point with the latest changes made in the CLM applications
Synchronize data with CLM Server

Validate CLM Links
7 Click Create.
Results
The view command is displayed on the “Add, edit, or remove view command” page. Go to the view and verify that the command is available in the element toolbar.
Restriction: When links in the linked elements to the CLM artifact are removed, the links from the CLM artifact to the linked element in Focal Point are still intact.
