Integration techniques and capabilities
Focal Point provides various linking techniques to integrate with CLM application such as Integration Link attribute, XpathValueFetcher business rule, OSLC View Command and REST Client View Command. You can choose any of these technique to integrate and work with the CLM applications.The following techniques are available in Focal Point to integrate and work with the CLM applications:
Integration Link attribute: Use this option to link to an existing artifact, or create artifacts in Rational Requirements Composer, Rational Team Concert, or any other OSLC application and establish bidirectional links. This attribute is used as mandatory parameter for the element by XPathValueFetcher business rule, OSLC View Command, and REST Client View Command.
XPathValueFetcher business rule: Use this option to retrieve a specific attribute value from the CLM application.
OSLC View Command: Use this option to bulk create artifacts in Rational Requirements Composer or Rational Team Concert and establish bidirectional links.
REST Client View Command: Use this option to retrieve one or more attribute values from the linked CLM artifact to populate Focal Point attributes on automatic or scheduled basis.

Integration capabilities
By integrating Focal Point with Rational Requirements Composer and Rational Team Concert, the following tasks can be performed:
Creating artifacts in CLM applications, such as work items or requirements from Focal Point.
Creating artifacts in Focal Point such as business needs from CLM applications.
Bulk publishing artifacts from Focal Point into CLM applications and establishing bidirectional links
Linking to existing artifacts in CLM applications from Focal Point
Linking to existing artifacts in Focal Point from CLM applications.
Viewing linked artifact details by using rich hover, and clicking through to open the details.
Deleting, restoring or validating CLM resources links in Focal Point
Exchanging attribute values between Focal Point and CLM artifacts, in both directions.
For a linked CLM artifact (REST resource), retrieving one or more attribute values to populate Focal Point attributes on automatic or on a specific schedule.
Generating traceability reports in Focal Point that fetches the latest state from all the linked artifacts in CLM applications
