Lesson 3: Connect to the IBM Rational solution for CLM server
In the previous lesson you created the consumer secret and consumer key. In this lesson, you will use that information in Focal Point to establish a connection to the IBM Rational solution for CLM applications.

Steps
1 Create a consumer key in the IBM Rational solution for CLM applications for Focal Point. For information, see Lesson 1: Create a consumer key and secret.
2 Get valid login credentials for the IBM Rational solution for CLM applications.
3 Log in to Focal Point as Tim Jeffs who has administrator rights to configure the integration.
4 On the menu bar, click the user name which, in this case, is Tim Jeffs. Then, click Administration. On the Application tab, click Friends(Outbound).
5 Click Add friend.
6 For the Requirements Management application, provide the following information:

Select OAuth.
Consumer Key
Specify the consumer key that you created for the Requirements Management application in a previous lesson. The consumer key is formatted like this:

7 Click Test Connection. Click Yes in the confirmation window displayed. When prompted, log on to the CLM application. The results of the test are displayed in the Add Friend window. Click Save.
8 For the Change and Configuration Management application, provide the following information:

To connect to the Change and Configuration Management application, type one of these values:
 
Version 2 (all releases)

Version 3 (all releases)

Consumer Key and Secret
Specify the values that created for the Change and Configuration Management application in a previous lesson.
9 Test the connection, and then save.
