Managing the home page
The home page mechanism in Focal Point can be used to aggregate data from multiple views and sources, and provide a uniform view across the modules and resources. Focal Point provides inbuilt widgets that can represent data as charts, tables or reports. Administrators can create homepage tabs and include the tabs on the home pages of multiple users, based on the roles and responsibilities of the user. Individual users can create their own home page tabs, but these tabs cannot be shared with other users.
With Focal Point 7.4.1 and later, the default home page allows the widgets to be resized, maximized as a display overlay, and positioned on the home page by using drag and drop. Table widgets have the same controls that are available in the display view, and data can be easily exported to a spreadsheet. Users can export charts as images and convert pie charts to donut charts.
Note To use the original home page, see Using the original home page (from Focal Point 7.4.0 and earlier).
