Grouping elements by attribute type
You can create dynamic hierarchies by grouping elements in a tree structure according to the available attribute values in the view.
It is also possible to group elements based on the flag levels set on individual elements. When more than one group attribute is used, elements will be arranged in a nested grouping of attribute values.
About this task
When you group elements according to an attribute, each unique value is displayed as a temporary folder, and all of the elements with that value are displayed in that folder. Elements that do not have that attribute are displayed in the "-" folder. The selected group order is user-specific and is saved when the you exit the tree display mode. You can use these attribute types to group elements:
Choice.
When ‘cascade group by’ setting is enabled on a cascading choice attribute, grouping will be nested as per the cascade setup.
