Welcome : Release notes : New features and enhancements in Focal Point version 7.5.1

New features and enhancements in Focal Point version 7.5.1
The details of the enhancements are given below:
Kanban board enhancements
Focal Point 7.5.1 improves the Kanban board capabilities. In previous versions, only choice attributes were supported for the Kanban status columns. In this version, users can select a link attribute as the column attribute. Individual link values can be used as the column group names. This is supported only if the number of target links is less than the limit of 30.
We have also added the ability to selectively hide/unhide horizontal and vertical groups in the board. This can be used to optimize the layout of the Kanban board by hiding groups which are not part of the workflow.
Export/import enhancements
Focal Point 7.5.1 introduces the following improvements to the export and import of data.
Logged history of attributes can be exported into a spreadsheet. This option will be available in the element history page. The history of a single attribute or the entire set of attributes belonging to the element can be exported using this feature.
Users can now import the data from a spreadsheet into a matrix attribute. This can be done from the edit page of a matrix attribute. Also the export of the matrix data into a spreadsheet is enhanced to include attribute related information. These two capabilities together allow a user to export the matrix data into a spreadsheet, edit it offline and later import it back into the same attribute.
Attribute enhancements
Focal Point 7.5.1 provides the following attribute enhancements.
A new setting is added to the attribute configuration page to mark any text attribute as having unique values. This setting will be enforced per module during the creation and modification of the elements done through the UI, Excel import and REST calls.
More capabilities are available for an Administrator to manage the attributes. The export and import capabilities that are newly introduced allow an Administrator to selectively export a set of attributes from one module and import them into another module belonging to the same workspace or another workspace. Deletion of multiple attributes in one click is also supported.
Visualization enhancements
Focal Point 7.5.1 improves the ability to visualize the information belonging to Focal Point entities.
Support for icon attributes are enhanced to include the link attributes. Icon attributes can be defined at module level or view level. When a link attribute is selected as the icon attribute, the icon of the link target will be used as the icon of the element.
The group by capability is enhanced to include the flag status as a group category. When grouped by flag levels, the elements will be categorized based on the flag levels set up by the user on individual elements. This makes it easier to identify the elements based on their relative importance.
Column and row groups in attribute statistics charts and reports can be selectively hidden similar to the groups in a Kanban board.
Revamped filter editor
Filtering of elements based on the attribute information is a very common use case. The normal filter window provides more capabilities than the dynamic inline editor and hence are used more frequently for filtering elements. Focal Point 7.5.1 comes up with a revamped filter window which provides a better performance and response time when dealing with a large number of attributes in a view.
Miscellaneous enhancements
Focal Point 7.5.1 provides the following miscellaneous enhancements.
IDP meta data needed for the SAML based single-sign-on can now be provided as a URL.
A new global setting is provided to show the information of the email sender in the body of the e-mail, instead of the on behalf of field.
The list of criteria in the legend tab of the visualize view will follow the order in the tree structure of the criteria module.
Added support for Postgres13.6, Postgres14.2 and IBM DB2® Enterprise Server Edition 11.5 as the application databases.
