Installing IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio IDE

Mobile SDK > Connected mobile application example requirements, installation, and configuration > Installing IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio IDE

IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio IDE (previously IBM Worklight Studio) is installed as an Eclipse plug-in. The following Eclipse versions are supported:

▪Juno SR2 4.2.2

▪Kepler SR2 4.3.2

▪Luna SR1 (4.4.1) (the recommended version).

You can download the appropriate Eclipse version from:

http://www.eclipse.org/

1 Install Eclipse.

2 Run Eclipse, and then select Help > Eclipse Marketplace to open the Marketplace dialog.

3 Search for MobileFirst, select IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio V6.3.0, and then click Install.

The Confirm Selected Features dialog displays.

4 On the Confirm Selected Features dialog, select IBM Dojo Mobile Tools and IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio, and then click Confirm.

(IBM jQuery Mobile Tools is not required.)

5 Click OK on the Security Warning dialog.

IBM MobileFirst Platform Studio is now installed.
