Creating and saving the current batch to a data file
1 Verify that the data you want to save is open in Interviewer Console.
2 Select Save Project Data As from the File menu, or press Alt+F, A. The Save Project Data As window displays.
3 In the Save Project Data As window:
Browse and confirm the directory destination for the file.
Confirm or edit the file format.
By default, the displayed file format matches the format configured by the author at activation.
You can edit the file format to save the file in the UNICOM Intelligence Data File (.ddf) or IBM SPSS Statistics (.sav) formats.
Confirm your selection by clicking Save, or by using the Tab and Enter keys to highlight and select Save. You can click to cancel the file creation process and close the Save Project Data As window.
Once confirmed, the data file is saved to the selected directory. The file is now ready to open in IBM SPSS Statistics or other analysis tools.
If a data file is saved in the .sav format, it can be opened at a later time in UNICOM Intelligence Author or UNICOM Intelligence Professional. This is commonly referred to a round-tripping a file. For more information on opening a .sav file in one of the UNICOM Intelligence authoring applications, refer to the UNICOM Intelligence Author or UNICOM Intelligence Professional User’s Guide.
Notes
IBM SPSS Statistics cannot directly open a Deployment Package (.dpz) file. You must use the Save Project Data feature to output an analysis-ready file format.
When a data file is saved in the .sav format, the following system variables are automatically included in the file:
DataCollection.BatchID
DataCollection.BatchName
DataCollection.DataEntryMode
DataCollection.FinishTime
DataCollection.InterviewerID
DataCollection.Removed
DataCollection.StartTime
DataCollection.Status
Respondent.ID
