How a metadata script is displayed in UNICOM Intelligence Professional
When you close and reopen an interview script you might find that the script in the metadata section does not look the same as when you closed it. This is because the UNICOM Intelligence Data Model component used to display mrScriptMetadata (which is the language used in the metadata section) determines how the syntax of the language is displayed. This is designed to make mrScriptMetadata easier to read, for example, by defining a single question over several lines rather than on one long line. Other changes that you might notice are:
Defined lists (also known as shared lists) are moved to the top of the script so that they appear before any questions that use them.
Page fields are moved to the bottom of the script so that they appear after any questions that they reference.
A label is added to any question or category that does not have one. The value of the label is made the same as the question or category name. This makes it easier for you to enter your own label texts at a later date.
You can continue to amend your metadata script, or write any new interview scripts, in any style you prefer, as the instructions that determine how the syntax is displayed are only applied when the interview script is opened.
