Creating a numeric response grid
1 From the menu, choose Insert > Question > Numeric Response Grid or press Ctrl+F5.

2 Enter the question text to be displayed to respondents in the box under Name. For example, How many times have you bought each of these products?
3 In the first Responses column/row, of the table below the question, type the text of the first response. This is the text of the response as it will be displayed to respondents. To save the response and move to a new line, press Enter, or use the down arrow key. Each time you do this, a new line is displayed where you can type the next response.
4 In the first Subjects column/row, of the table below the question, type the text of the first subject. This is the text of the subject of the question as it will be displayed to respondents. To save the subject and move to a new line, press Enter, or use the down arrow key. Each time you do this, a new line is displayed where you can type the next subject.
Note To correct the text, use the up arrow key to move back through the list.
Alternatively, you can use the Advanced Category Editor. To access it, click the
Advanced Responses Editor icon

Specifying presentation options
The
Display Subjects in field controls how subjects are arranged for the selected question. If you select rows, the subjects will be ordered in rows, split into as many columns as necessary. If you select columns, the subjects will be ordered in columns, split into as many rows as necessary. For more information, see

Specifying the range
The Minimum and Maximum fields indicate the range of values that a respondent can enter. For example, you may want to restrict the respondent to entering a value from 1 to 10.
