Creating the UNICOM Intelligence user group
The Installing User, the Anonymous Access User and all scriptwriters must belong to a single group. This ensures that these users will have access to the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server components and that UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server will function correctly. If you do not have a suitable group already set up, you must create a new group before you install UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server.
The notes that follow describe the process for single computer installations. The procedure for workgroup and domain installations is similar. If you are installing UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server on computers within a workgroup, you must create the UNICOM Intelligence user group on all computers in the workgroup that will run UNICOM Intelligence applications. If you are installing UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server on computers within a domain, you should create the UNICOM Intelligence user group as a domain global group, unless you have two domains in your configuration, in which case you should create the group as a domain local group. (Note that domain local groups are supported in native-mode domains only, not in mixed-mode domains.)
To create a new group (single computer installations)
1 Open Control Panel and choose Administrative Tools > Computer Management
This opens the Computer Management window.
2 Expand Local Users and Groups, right-click Group and choose New Group.
This opens the New group dialog box.
3 Enter a name and description for the group and click Add.
This opens the Select Users or Groups dialog box.
4 Choose the users who will be part of the group and click Add.
Note You must add the Installing User, the Running User and the Anonymous Access User to this group.
5 Click OK to close the Select Users or Groups dialog box.
6 Click Create and then Close.
