Installing the Phone Interview Components
Phone Interview Components is a collection of additional items that are required for sites where telephone interviews dial numbers using modems.
Note Make sure that each interviewer's computer has an internal modem fitted or is connected to an external modem and that the modem driver software has been correctly installed. The modem and the interviewer's telephone must be connected to the same telephone outlet. If your organization's internal telephone network requires that a special code must be dialled to make an external call, you must specify this (and any other special dialling rules) in Phone and Modem Options in the Windows Control Panel. Then follow the instructions below to install the Phone Interview Components.
1 Log on to the computer as a user who has administrative privileges for that computer.
2 Navigate to the folder that the installation program is in.
3 From the Windows Start menu, choose Run.
4 In the Run dialog box, type \autoplay. This opens the main installer window.
5 In the main installer window, choose Browse the DVD.
6 Browse to the Phone Interview Components folder and double-click the installer executable.
This opens the UNICOM Intelligence Telephone Interview Plugins window.
7 On the Welcome page, click Next.
8 On the License Agreement page, read the license agreement.
9 If you accept the agreement, click I accept the terms of the license agreement and then click Next.
The Phone Interview Components installer is now ready to start the installation.
10 Click Install.
11 When the installation is complete, click Finish.
