Installing Survey Tabulation, Survey Reporter Server Edition, and Author Server Edition
1 Log on as the Installing User, and then start the installation program
2 On the Select Features screen, select Survey Tabulation, Survey Reporter Server Edition, or Author Server Edition and then click Next.
3 Follow the onscreen instructions. For more information about each step, see below.
Note The installation procedure places a number of keys in the registry. The WebServiceURL key contains the URL to use for starting UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation. If the installer can find the server's domain name in the registry, it includes it in the URL so that, for example, the server called olympus is shown as olympus.unicom.com. If the WebServiceURL is incorrect, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation will not start.
Machine Configuration
Choose Single Machine Install.
Select the Configure multiple instances for the Web, Accessory, and Interviewing tiers option if you want to configure multiple virtual directories, session engines, and Web services. Depending on what you chose to install on the Select Features page, you might be presented with a combination of the Interviewer Server Administration Virtual Directory Configuration, Interview Session Engine Configuration, and Interview Web Service Configuration dialogs.
If you selected to install any of the following features, the Interviewer Server Administration Virtual Directory Configuration dialog appears. It enables you to set the number of virtual directories that will be installed for each server:
Accessories Service
Phone Interviews
Remote Administration
Survey Tabulation
Survey Reporter Server Edition
Author Server Edition
If you selected to install the Interview Service feature, the Interview Session Engine Configuration dialog displays and provides options for configuring the number of session engines for each selected UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer server.
If you selected to install the Web Service feature, the Interview Web Service Configuration dialog displays and provides options for configuring the number of Web services for the selected web servers.

UNICOM Intelligence User and Group
Enter information about the user and group that should be used for running UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition, or UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition.
If you have already installed UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server on this computer, all the fields on this screen (except the Password field) show the information entered for UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server. In this case, you should enter the password and leave the other fields unchanged.
Computers on a domain
Otherwise, if the computer on which you are installing the program is part of a domain, click Domain and enter the domain name in the box. If the computer is part of a workgroup or you are installing the program on your local computer, click Workgroup. In the Username and Password boxes, enter the name and password of the Running User. In the Group box, enter the name of the UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition, or UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition Group.
The names you enter must be valid names for the domain or workgroup on which you are installing.
UNICOM Intelligence Anonymous User
Enter the details for the Anonymous Access User.
If you have already installed UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server on this computer, all the fields on this screen (except the Password field) show the information entered for UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server. In this case you should enter the password and leave the other fields unchanged.
Otherwise, if the computer on which you are installing the program is part of a domain, click Domain and enter the domain name in the box. If the computer is part of a workgroup or you are installing the program on your local computer, click Workgroup. In the Username and Password boxes, enter the name and password of the Anonymous Access User.
The domain group cannot be a Local domain group. Domain groups must be created as Global, otherwise the DPM Server will not start after installation.
UNICOM Intelligence Database
Enter the name of the server that hosts the SQL Server software.
DPM User Admin Details
Enter a name and password for the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin Administrator. If UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server has been installed, this user already exists and their user name is be displayed. Enter that user's password to continue.
Note This user name is simply for accessing the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin Distributed Property Management (DPM) database to perform administrative tasks such as setting up UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin users and roles, and managing access to UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin files and applications. It exists only in DPM. To avoid possible conflicts with other user names, the name that you choose should not match any of the NT user names known to your system.
Internet Information Services (IIS) Configuration

Setup Type
Choose:
Typical to install all components on the computer
Compact to install the minimum components on the computer
Custom to choose the components you want to install. If you chose the Custom installation, two additional screens are displayed:
Choose Destination Location
This screen displays the name of the folder in which the files will be installed. The default is:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\
To install in a different folder, click Browse and choose the folder you want to use.
File Management Folder
Enter the location of the root folder for the file management system.

Start Copying Files
This screen lists the choices you have made. If these settings are correct, click Next to begin the installation. If not, click Back and step back through the screens to make the necessary changes.
To complete the installation, perform the post-installation tasks: see Post-installation tasks for Survey Tabulation, Survey Reporter Server Edition, and Author Server Edition.
