Creating the users and the user group
Creating the users
1 Create a user for installing. This user is referred to as the “Installing User”.
2 Optionally, create a user for running. This user is referred to as the “Running User”. You can use the Installing User as the Running User if you want.
3 Create a user that can be used for anonymous IIS access to UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation or UNICOM Intelligence Reporter. This user is referred to as the “Anonymous Access User”.
4 Create a group for users.
Notes
▪If you are installing UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition, or UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition and UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server, you must use the same Installing User, Running User, Anonymous Access User, and Group for all products.
▪If you are installing only UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition, UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition, or UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server in a single-computer installation, you need to create the number of users and a user group, as described above.
▪If you are installing UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition, or UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition on multiple computers in a domain, the system administrator must create these users and the group so that they are valid for all computers in the domain.
▪For domain installations, if you are using case-sensitive SQL you must create the Running User and the Anonymous Access User with the Full Name and Logon Name in the same case.
