When multiple window tabs are open in a single Microsoft Internet Explorer session, it is not be possible to use Ctrl+[Number] shortcut to answer coded responses in the Phone Participants activity. The issue is caused by Internet Explorer's defined shortcuts interfering with the CATIPlayer behavior.

The issue can be resolved by ensuring the Phone Participants activity is the only active tab, or by opening the Phone Participants activity to a separate Internet Explorer window.
