Managing services
Creating a service
1 Click Create next to Service list.
2 Enter an name in the Service name field.
3 Select the appropriate service type from the Service type drop-down list.
4 Set the properties as described below.
5 Click the Test buttons to test the connection to the live and test servers.
6 Click OK to save the service configuration.
The information is stored in the ServicesOptions.xml configuration file.
The configuration settings are stored in DPM under the site level property named InterviewServices. Each setting is stored as sub-properties under the InterviewServices site level property.
Required settings
Server: The external web services server name.
Port: The external web services server port number.
User name: A valid user name for logging into the external web services server.
Password: A valid password for logging into the external web services server.
Optional settings
Has test service: Select when the selected service type utilizes a test server.
Properties on test server
Server: The external web services test server name.
Port: The external web services test server port number.
User name: A valid user name for logging into the external web services test server.
Password: A valid password for logging into the external web services test server.
Modifying an service
1 Select the appropriate service from the Service list.
2 Modify the service settings as described above.
Deleting a service
Select the appropriate service from the Service list, and then click Delete next to Service list.
Importing a configuration file
1 Click Import under the Service List heading.
2 Navigate the configuration XML file's path and click Import.
The settings defined in the imported configuration file are propagated on the interface.
Exporting a configuration file
1 Select an appropriate service from the Service List.
2 Click Export under the Service List heading.
3 Navigate to the folder where you want to save the configuration XML file, specify a file name, and then click Export.
