Setting up the UNICOM Intelligence Data File sample projects
This topic describes how to use UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin to create a new UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation project that uses one of the UNICOM Intelligence Data File sample data sets.
To do this, you must have access permissions for creating UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin projects and using the Manage Files activity.
1 On the toolbar at the top of the My Projects list, click the New Project button .
This opens the New Project dialog box.
2 From the Project Type list, select Analyze existing data.
3 In the Name text box, enter the project's name as you want it to appear in the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin project list, for example, Museum. This name is for display purposes only and can be changed at any time during the project's life cycle.
4 In the Description text box, enter a more detailed description of the project.
5 Click OK. The project is created using the default settings, and the Upload Existing Data dialog appears.
6 In the Data Type list, select UNICOM Intelligence Data File.
7 Click Browse and in the Choose File dialog box, browse to the folder in which the project is located. By default, this is:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\<version>\DDL\Data\Data Collection File\
8 Select the museum.mdd, household.mdd, short_drinks.mdd, or trips.mdd file. The file begins uploading immediately. When the upload is complete, the name of the file appears in the File(s) uploaded list.
9 You will be asked whether you want to change the name of the .mdd file to match the Project ID. Click Yes.
10 When the upload has finished, click Browse again and in the Choose File dialog box, select the museum.ddf, household.ddf, short_drinks.ddf, or trips.ddf file. The file begins to upload immediately.
