Configuring account lockout settings
UNICOM Intelligence will lockout a user’s account after three failed login attempts. The lock automatically clears after two hours (during this period if user attempts to login with the correct credentials, the login will fail). After two hours, users can again login to their accounts provided the appropriate credentials are entered.
Configuring the number of failed login attempts
On the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, change the following registry entry:
HKLM\Software\SPSS\MRUserManagement\Database\Users\MaxFailedLogInAttempts
The default key value is 3.
Configuring the user account lockout duration
On the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, change the following registry entry:
HKLM\Software\SPSS\MRUserManagement\Database\Users\LockOutTimeSpan
The default key value is 2 (hours).
Manually unlocking a user account
You do not have to wait for the specified lockout duration.
1 Enter the User Administration activity.
2 Select a locked user from the left pane.
3 Click Modify in the right pane.
4 Deselect the User Account is Locked Out setting, then click OK.
