Finding old projects
As an administrator, one of your jobs is to ensure that the servers do not get cluttered with old projects that are not used any more. Once a project is completed and is no longer required online for reference, it can be backed up and deleted.
To help you find old projects that can potentially be deleted, run the ReadProjectProperties.mrs script in:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\<version>\DDL\Scripts\Interview\Utilities
This script logs you in to DPM and then creates a file called DPMProps.txt listing the project properties for each project. These include Creator and DateCreated, so you can see when and by whom each project was created.
In the script, the command that logs you into DPM contains a dummy user name and password. Change these before running this script. You can either make the changes to the installed file or save your changes in a new file. In either case, be aware that the password is stored in plain text and is visible to anyone who has read access to the file. Where this is considered a security risk, save the changes in a new file, run the script, and then delete the file.
Any changes you make to the original installed file are overwritten the next time you install UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer.
