Retrieving an object from a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository
1 On the File menu, click Retrieve from Repository.
2 On the Folders tab, browse folders as needed to select the object you want to retrieve. Object names are displayed exactly as stored. Extensions, such as .mrz and .dmz (for UNICOM Intelligence Professional) or .mtz (for UNICOM Intelligence Reporter\UNICOM Intelligence Survey Reporter Server Edition), are neither added nor removed from the stored name. By default, the latest version accessible to the current user will be retrieved. Optionally, click Version to select a different version. Double-clicking an object retrieves the latest version accessible to the current user.
3 Click Retrieve.
Once an object has been retrieved, you can modify it and store an updated version to the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository simply by selecting File > Repository > Store to Repository. You might also choose to modify the object and save it to the file system, using Save As, without storing it to the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository. Storing to a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository and saving to the file system are independent operations.
Open as locked
Specifies whether the object is locked when retrieved. Locking an object prevents other users from modifying it while you are working with it. Other users can retrieve locked objects but they cannot store them. The lock is released when the object is closed (for instance, closing a dataset containing a retrieved data file) or when the current session ends.
Description
Displays the description, for the selected object.
Keywords
Displays any keywords associated with the selected object.
Version
Unique version identifier, generated based on the time when the version was stored. If the version has a set of labels, they are displayed instead of a time stamp.
