Distributed Property Management (DPM) properties
UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer uses a component called Distributed Property Management (DPM) to store properties that support the user interfaces and internal system workings. These include properties that describe the cluster setup, installed UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer applications, and projects. Your installation package needs to install DPM properties that specify the name of your dialing provider component and other properties used to integrate the dialer into the system (including a default mapping of dialer call outcomes to UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer return codes). Your installation kit can also add to existing DPM properties (for example, if a new return code should be displayed to the interviewer for some reason).
Your dialing provider will access DPM properties when initiating dialing for a project, and through regular polling, to react to changes made by the supervisor. For more information, see DPM object model.
It is helpful to familiarize yourself with the DPM on a working system using DPM Explorer. The application allows you to explore project and sample management objects that you have created and see the impacts of changes that are made by Dialer Administration, Interviewing Options, and other activities. For more information, see DPM Explorer.
