Entry panel
The Entry Panel provides the following options for navigating responses:
Previous
Can be selected using the mouse, or by using the Alt+P or Page Up keyboard shortcut.
Previous moves the Data Entry Player backward to the last keyed entry. The Data Entry Player displays the variable’s information in the Entry, Question Text, and Response List (if applicable) panels. The previously keyed entry is visible in the Entry Panel.
Previous can be used to navigate the Question List for use in reviewing and/or editing previous responses. Selecting Previous moves the highlighted row backward (upward) by one variable for each time it is selected.
Next
Can be selected using the mouse, or by using the Alt+N or Page Down keyboard shortcut. In most cases, pressing Enter provides the same results as selecting Search.
Next confirms an entry as data and moves the Data Entry Player to the next variable in the keying sequence. When an entry is keyed for the first time, and Previous is selected, the Data Entry Player moves forward to the next available variable for keying.
Previous can be used to navigate the Question List for use in reviewing and editing previous responses. Selecting Previous moves the highlighted row forward (downward) by one variable for each time it is selected. This is recommended if more than one variable requires editing as it continues the Data Entry Player in sequence by variable.
Jump
Can be selected using the mouse, or by using the Alt+J or Ctrl+Page Down keyboard shortcut.
Jump is recommended for use when editing previous responses. Selecting Jump confirms an entry and then moves the Data Entry Player to the next unkeyed variable, skipping all other variables. This is a quick way to edit earlier responses and quickly navigate back to entering new data.
