Quota control scripting
Quota control is a way of controlling the number of completed interviews in various categories of your choice. Usually, the quotas are based on respondents, so you might have quotas based on age or gender, or on the number of people who live in households of various sizes, but they can be based on other counts such as brands purchased. In this case, a respondent might buy several brands in which case one respondent will affect several quotas. For more information about how the quota control system works, and how to set and control quotas, see Quota control.
The topics in this section explain how to write a script that interfaces with the quota control system. See:
Pending quota cells
Terminating interviews when targets have been met
Incrementing quota counts for completed interviews
Checking for empty or unfilled cells (this procedure applies to any type of check on individual quota cells)
Prioritizing quota cells for multiple choice answers: Specify cell priorities for multiple choice response lists (for example, always use quota cell A before quota cell B if both responses are chosen) or when you want to pend quotas for the cells that are currently the least full.
Quota control when reviewing interviews
Quota control in restarted interviews
Quota targets are defined in a .mqd file whose contents are written into a set of quota tables when a project is activated with the “With Quota” option selected.
To test quotas in UNICOM Intelligence Professional, see Testing quotas.
