Activating interview scripts
Activation is the process of making an interview script available for interviewing using UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server. In most cases you will be activating a script on the cluster on which it currently exists, but it is also possible to activate scripts from one cluster to another. This typically happens when you have different clusters for development and production work.
There are several ways of activating scripts:
Using the Activation option in UNICOM Intelligence Professional: see Using the Activation Option in UNICOM Intelligence Professional
From a command prompt: see Activating projects from the command line
Run UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin and upload the interview script (the .mdd file) into the project folder in your User folder, and then use the Launch activity in UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin(this uses the same Activate dialog as UNICOM Intelligence Professional)
Run UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin and use the Promote Project activity in UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin to activate the project from one cluster onto another.
Before activating with UNICOM Intelligence Professional for the first time
Before you activate with UNICOM Intelligence Professional for the very first time, you must specify the name of the Project Management Server. This is the computer that controls project publishing. Your UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server administrator will tell you which server to use. To define the activation server, proceed as follows.
1 In UNICOM Intelligence Professional, select Tools > Options.
2 In the UNICOM Intelligence Professional Options dialog, enter the name of the Activate Server or URL:
When to reactivate interview scripts
If you change the contents of the script after it has been activated, or you change the contents of one of the templates files used by the script, then you must reactivate the project to make those changes available in UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server.
If you change a cascading stylesheet, there is no need to reactivate. Simply copy the new stylesheet into the appropriate location, and stop and restart your browser.
