Creating a new case
A new case can only be created when you are active in Live Interviewing mode for a Live Interviewing project, or when you are active in Initial Entry mode for a Data Entry project. For more information, see Selecting the entry mode.
To start a new case
Do one of these:
Select New Case from the Case menu, or press Alt+C, N.
Right-click a case in the Case List, and then click New Case.
If the project supports adding new participant records: Clicking New Case starts a participant survey prior to starting the normal survey.
If the project includes existing participant records: Selecting a participant record and clicking Continue Case starts a new survey with the selected participant.
If the project includes existing participant records: Double-click a record starts a new survey with the selected participant.
When a new case is started, UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer launches the appropriate player for entering response data. The case is also added to the Case List for the batch in which you are working.
When participants are present, you can use the New Participant option to create a new participant record.
