Creating multiple tables with the same top variable
You might want to create several tables using the same variable or variables on the top of the table. For example, demographic variables are often combined to form a banner or breakdown, which is then used to crosstabulate a number of different variables. This topic explains how to create multiple tables, each one of which crosstabulates one variable against the same banner variables.
To create multiple tables with the same top variable
1 Click Tables > New > Table.
2 In the Variables pane, use click, Shift+click or Ctrl+click to select the variables to add to the top of the table.
3 Drag add the variables to the top of the table in the Design pane.
4 In the Variables pane, use Shift+click or Ctrl+click to select the variables to use as the side variables.
5 Click Tables > New > Table For Each Selected Variable.
A separate table is created for each side variable. All the tables have the same variables that you added to the top of the first table.
6 Do one of the following:
Click Tables > Generate All Tables.
Press Ctrl+F5.
