Creating a variable from the side or top of a table
You can create a new variable based on the definition of the side or top of a table. This is useful, for example, if you have set up a banner containing more than one variable on the top of a table, and you want to use it in other tables.
Alternatively, you can create multiple tables that have the same variables on top. For more information, see Creating multiple tables with the same top variable.
To create a variable from the side or top
1 Use the Design tab to set up the top or side definition.
2 Click inside the Top or Side area of the screen to select it.
3 Click Variables > New from Side/Top.
4 Enter a name and description for the new variable, and then click OK. The name must conform to the UNICOM Intelligence Reporter naming conventions.
