Working with templates
UNICOM Intelligence Professional comes with a number of templates that you can base new scripts on. The templates are organized into a number of folders. It is easy to amend the templates and add new templates and template folders.
Creating a new script based on a template
1 Click File > New > From Template.
The New File From Template dialog opens. It lists the available template folders.
2 Select the required folder. The right side of the dialog displays the templates that are in the folder.
3 Select the template you want to use, and then click Open.
Creating a new template
1 Create the file on which you want to base your template in the normal way, and then click File > Save As.
2 Go to the Templates folder in the folder where UNICOM Intelligence Professional is installed. In the default installation, this is:
%APPDATA%\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\<version>\Professional\ Templates
3 Go to the required template folder within the main Templates folder, or click the Create New Folder tool to create a new template folder.
4 In the File name box, type a name for the new template, and then click Save.
Editing an existing template
1 Click File > Open > File.
2 Go to the Templates folder in the folder where UNICOM Intelligence Professional was installed. In the default installation, this is:
%APPDATA%\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\<version>\Professional\ Templates
3 Go to the required template folder within the main Templates folder.
4 Select the template you want to edit and then click Open.
5 Edit and save the file in the normal way.
