Viewing log information
This section describes how to view UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer logged information when there is no server with which to synchronize data.
Interviewer can run when disconnected from a server, and as a result will not be capable of synchronizing data to a server (including the log files).
To find where Interviewer log files are stored, check this registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SPSS\mrInterview\3\Log
This specifies the location of the log file directory. An example location is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\UNICOM\Intelligence\Logs.
Logs are not merged in a disconnected environment, and depending on the logging configuration, there can be many logs. There are two additional files that aid in maintaining an audit record for each case that is entered, edited, or verified for data entry or full/partial verification. The additional files are:
DataCollectionAudit_Analysis.mdd (the data model) and
DataCollectionAudit_Analysis.ddf (contains the audit record data).
These files are more easily queried and contain more details than the normal log files.
DataCollectionAudit_Analysis.mdd is in the Interviewer installation directory. For example:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\<version>\Interviewer\
DataCollectionAudit_Analysis.ddf contains the audit record data for all projects for a specific Microsoft Windows user account, and is in each user’s Document and Settings directory. For example:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows user name>\Application Data\UNICOM\Intelligence\<version>\Interviewer\Config\Audit\DataCollectionAudit_Analysis.ddf
