Grouping questions in sections
Sections group questions and routing items into folders for organizational purposes. See also Creating blocks of questions.
To create a new section
1 Click Insert > Routing Item > Section, or press Alt+I, R, C.
2 Create the questions you want to add to the section.
3 Select the questions using Shift+click or Ctrl+click.
4 Drag the questions in the Routings pane, and then drop them on top of the section icon.
The questions are added to the section.
5 The section has an automatically generated name. You can select the default name, and then change it.
6 To prevent users from adding content to the section in UNICOM Intelligence Author, select Locked.
Users can unlock the section only if the IsProtected custom property for the section is not True (see also Protecting questions). If the question is protected, a user can edit it only if they have the Can edit protected questions feature assigned.
To group existing questions in a section
1 Use Shift+click to select all the questions you want to group.
2 Click Group > Group In > Section, or press Alt+G, G, S.
A new Section item appears in the Routings pane, and the selected questions move to the section.
3 The section has an automatically generated name. You can select the default name, and then change it: see Section names.
Section names
Names must be unique; cannot be empty; and can contain only letters, numbers, and the following characters:
_ @ $ #
The first character must be a letter or _
Names cannot contain spaces.
