UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository configuration file
This section is for experienced system administrators and developers; it explains how to set up and customize an UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository.
The configuration settings for a UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository are in the XML file
repository.dql. The
repository.dql file defines the UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository behavior on the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services server. Before using UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository, put the file in a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository folder by using IBM SPSS Deployment Manager. The
repository.dql file is referenced by the
DQL Path field in the
New Repository Connection dialog.
For an example repository.dql file, see the UNICOM Intelligence Desktop installation package’s QRPES_Server directory. You can use the file as a starting point for your own settings.
Defining the configuration settings
Use an XML editor program to edit repository.dql. You can define settings for the following items:
Applying the configuration settings
To apply your settings, use IBM SPSS Deployment Manager to create a root folder (Questionnaire Repository for example) in your repository. Put the repository.dql file in the new folder. When the UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository application connects to the repository, it expects to find the configuration file in the specified folder.
For example:
/Questionnaire Repository/repository.dql
For more information about creating folders and adding files, see the IBM SPSS Deployment Manager User's Guide.
Changing the configuration settings
To change the settings, use IBM SPSS Deployment Manager to download the repository.dql file, then open the downloaded file in an XML editor. When you have made your changes, use IBM SPSS Deployment Manager to add the updated version back to the repository.dql folder.
