Entering data in the Data Entry Player
The Data Entry Player supports all question types that are available in UNICOM Intelligence Author and UNICOM Intelligence Professional.
Single Categorical Response (Single-Punch)
Multiple Categorical Response (Multi-Punch)
Numeric Response
Text Response
Date/Time
Boolean (True/False)
For variables that are in a grid, the Data Entry Player displays each variable individually for operator entry.
You can use the keyboard or mouse to enter a response. When using a keyboard, type response in the Entry Panel, and then press Enter. You can use the mouse for entering categorical responses by clicking the responses displayed in the Response List Panel. To confirm the entry, click Next in the Entry Panel.
Once an entry is confirmed, the interface moves to the next available variable for entry. You can configure automatic advancement to the next available variable: see Auto advance to next entry.
The Data Entry Player ensures quality by enforcing valid entries as programmed in UNICOM Intelligence Author and UNICOM Intelligence Professional. Interfaces are provided for resolving non-valid entries. For more information, see Resolving errors in keycode values.
Error correction
To clear an entry, use the Backspace or Delete keys.
Use the arrow keys or mouse to navigate between responses in the Entry Panel; it is not necessary to completely remove and re-key the entire response.
