Creating a package for deployment
UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer provides options for selecting one or more project-level files, packaging (bundling) the selected files, and manually deploying (transferred) the package to other operator computers. Other operators can then import the project bundle into their own UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Project Lists.
You can package and deploy files that originated from various sources:
projects that you created and activated to UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer (all on your own computer)
projects created by others that were transferred to you via synchronization
projects created by others that you imported to the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Project List.
To create a package using projects in your Project List
1 Highlight the projects that you want to deploy to other operators.
2 Click the Create Package toolbar option, or press Alt+C. Create Deployment Package window appears.
The toolbar option is not available if you are not logged into an UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server.
3 From the Create Deployment Package window, select the projects and accompanying data that you want to package, and then click OK.
4 Select the directory destination, the file name, and the file type that you want to use in the Save As window. Project files can only be saved as .dpz(Deployment Package) files. By default, Deployment Packages are saved to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\My Surveys
where <username> is the name of the user currently logged into Windows.
5 Click Save.
Once you save the package, you can deploy or transfer the project files to other operators. The operators can import the project files into their personal Project Lists. For more information, see Create Deployment Package window, and Local file deployment.
If no projects are selected in the Project List, pressing Alt+C closes the Project List. Ensure that at least one project is selected before using the keyboard to open the Create Deployment Package window.
