Text substitution
Text substitution is the insertion of variable text into a fixed text. For practical purposes, it covers such things as displaying respondent-specific information in a question text or banner, displaying answers to Other responses as part of a second response list, and inserting texts from a categorical loop control list into the texts of the questions inside the loop. For example, you could ask for the person’s name, and then display it as part of the text that thanks them for taking part in the survey.
