Using the Connection String Builder
Use the Connection String Builder to insert a connection string into a script.
You typically use the Connection String Builder to specify the ConnectionString parameter in the InputDataSource and OutputDataSource sections of a DMS file. The ConnectionString parameter specifies the name, type, and location of the input and output data.
For more information about using the Connection String Builder, see 3. Transferring different types of data.
To use the Connection String Builder
1 In the main Edit window, click where you want to insert the connection string, and then click Tools > Connection String Builder.
2 Use the Data Link Properties dialog to specify the details of the data to which you want to connect, and then click OK.
