Installing SQL Server on computers running the database service
You must have SQL Server, including the latest service packs, installed on all computers that will run the Database Service. If you are going to have more than one computer running the Database Service, they must operate in Active–Passive mode, not in Active–Active mode. For more information about operation modes, refer to the SQL Server documentation.
There are several different editions of SQL Server. You should be able to use UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer with any edition, but note that there are limitations on the maximum number of CPUs supported and on memory.
UNICOM Intelligence can be configured to use “Database as a Service” offerings that use alternative authentication methods. “Database as a Service” is configured after installation by using a standard SQL Server instance. For the initial installation, you can use SQL Server Express. For more information, see Configuring database servers.
