Installing UNICOM Intelligence Server
These instructions are for installing UNICOM Intelligence Server (x86 32-bit and x64 64-bit editions), which includes the following products:
UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin
UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server, including the Accessories, Interview, and Web services and the UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool.
UNICOM Intelligence Phone Interviews
UNICOM Intelligence - Remote Admin
UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation
UNICOM Intelligence Author Server Edition and UNICOM Intelligence Reporter Server Edition (x86 32-bit only)

Before you start
1 For information about configuring security before installing the software and after installing it, see Security considerations.
2 If you are upgrading from a previous version of UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, or UNICOM Intelligence Reporter, see Installing required software, and Supported upgrade paths before you install the new version.
Notes
If you are currently using a version of UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation, or UNICOM Intelligence Reporter prior to version 5.5, you must uninstall it before installing the new version. See Supported upgrade paths for more information.
You cannot upgrade the x86 32-bit editions of the UNICOM Intelligence Server 7.5 applications to the x64 64-bit edition of the UNICOM Intelligence Server 7.5 applications. If you are currently using 32-bit UNICOM Intelligence Server 7.5 applications, you must uninstall these applications before installing the 64-bit applications.
UNICOM Intelligence Server applications support the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC), which are a list of National Institute of Standards and Technology recommended security settings for general-purpose microcomputers that are directly connected to a United States government agency network. UNICOM Intelligence can be configured to use “Database as a Service” offerings that use alternative authentication methods. “Database as a Service” is configured after installation by using a standard SQL Server instance. For the initial installation, you can use SQL Server Express. For more information, see Configuring database servers.
Licensing UNICOM Intelligence Server
To use UNICOM Intelligence Server, you must install the UNICOM License Server. For more information, see UNICOM Intelligence licensing.
